Brand new to the shop is a 2023 Maybach Custom Shop Convair Heavy Relic in Black.  Designed by Maybach master builder Nick Page, this guitar encompasses many different aspects of guitars that we know and love all in one instrument.  Nick wanted to build an instrument that was a throwback to timeless guitar designs, but with need ideas for the modern player.  
 
At first glance you'll notice the emphasis on the elegantly cut Florentine cutaway, the quaint window headstock and the celluloid binding. This guitar features a two piece chambered mahogany body, in combination with an arched and a solid maple top.  These combinations provide a earthy, rough and fat sound which has to do with the ebony fingerboard and long tenon.  The Maybach is equipped with "Amber Spirit" humbucker pickups which are faithfully recreated pickups to sound like vintage Les Paul's.  Also, this guitar is fitted with a Bigspy tail piece, which is rare to find.  Lastly, it has undergone a Heavy Relic aging which gives it an incredible authentic look and plays like it's perfectly worn in.  Comes with the original guitar case!
