1967 Rickenbacker 366/12 “Mapleglo”
This is a very cool and rare piece of Rickenbacker history. The 366/12 is a typical 360/12, but fitted with the unusual "Comb Convertor". This contraption was newly licensed by Rickenbacker, and gives the player the ability to pull the high strings down and out of the way, effectively converting the guitar to a 6-string on the fly. This first-year example has all the other standard 360/12 features, including a carved maple body, checkerboard binding, 3-piece walnut and maple neck, crushed pearl inlays, and a pair of "Toaster" pickups.
