1961 Gibson Byrdland "Sunburst"
Just in! An absolutely gorgeous 1961 Gibson Byrdland guitar. This guitar features a sunburst lacquer finish, maple back and sides, spruce top and a laminated maple neck with ebony fingerboard. This model was introduced in 1955 as a more "modern" version of the electrified L-5 arch-top, with features specified by two of the company's Nashville endorsers, Hank Garland and Billy Byrd. The Byrdland includes two original patent number humbucker pickups with gold plated covers. These pickups sound so warm, rich and full when plugged in. This guitar can do it all from jazz, country, blues to good ol' rock n' roll!
