Built to be a more ornate spin on the Les Paul Custom model, the Artisan was a short lived model unlike any other Les Paul! The floral inlalys and headstock ornamentation, as well as the pre-war script “Gibson” Logo draw clear inspiration from Gibson’s banjos, while the three humbucking pickups and ebony fretboard are familiar to fans of the Les Paul Custom. This 1977 example features a carved maple top, three piece maple neck, mahogany body, and gold hardware for an instrument that is as much a work of art as it is a great sounding guitar. This guitar is in beautiful condition and includes a newer Gibson hardshell case. EXC w/HSC $8,400.
