Designed as a “student model” instrument, the Kalamazoo KG series guitars were, as the name suggest, built in the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan by the same craftsman building the highest end Gibson guitars of the era. With a single pickup and short Maestro Vibrola tailpiece this guitar shares some DNA with the Gibson Melody Maker, while the unique double cut body and bolt on neck owe a debt to Fender designs, as well. An affordable way to own a 60’s Gibson made electric with unmistakable vintage mojo. EXC w/OHSC $650.
