This is definitely the coolest “player grade” Firebirds we’ve ever seen! This 1964 Firebird VII features all of the top-of-the-line appointments that make the VII the rarest and most collectible of the Firebird series; a beautiful Ebony fingerboard with block inlays, three “mini-humbucker” pickups, “Lyre” vibrato tailpiece, reverse banjo-style tuners, and the perfect ’64 neck profile. This guitar was re-finished in a stunning black finish, which perfectly compliments the gold hardware. Two of the pickups have been replaced but this guitar still delivers the distinctive array of tones that make the Firebird one of Gibson’s most unique sounding solidbodies. Fireird VII’s almost never appear for sale, and with a few player-friendly modifications, this guitar is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a 60’s model.
