From Cliff Gallup of Gene Vincent’s band the Blue Caps to George Harrison, the Gretsch Duo Jet has helped define the sound of rock n’ roll guitar! This 1955 model is a beautiful example, with early features like block inlays, “G” tailpiece, Melita bridge, and a large neck with low action. The chambered body construction with Gretsch’s “Nitron” top make for an extremely resonant guitar while the original Dearmond single coil pickups make this a truly exceptional sounding guitar. This instrument was professionally refretted but is otherwise a fully original example with the original Gretsch Hardshell case. A great playing guitar with the unmistakable “Great Gretsch Sound”! EXC w/OHSC $8,250.
