1990 Fender TLC-54 Esquire "Blonde"
The early Japanese reissue guitars are some of the best Fender instruments available for the price, and you'll find no better example than this TLC-54 Esquire! As the name would suggest, the guitar is based on the 1954 Fender Esquire, and features an ash body with a "Blonde" finish, single ply white pickguard, and a comfortable, fast playing maple neck with "Spaghetti" style Fender logo, brass saddles, and an added "secret agent" neck pickup with six-way wiring for a deceptively versatile Esquire. The guitar also includes a replacement black Esquire pickguard as well as the original electronics for those who prefer the look of the earlier '54 "blackguard" models with traditional wiring. A professional refret makes this a stellar playing guitar with plenty of life in it. It's hard to beat the versatility of an Esquire, and with originals fetching record prices, the Japanese reissues are a perfect choice for any player in need of a solid workhorse! EXC w/OHSC
