2004 Fender 50th Anniversary Stratocaster #1 Bill Carson "Sunburst"

2004 Fender 50th Anniversary Stratocaster #1 Bill Carson "Sunburst"

One of the most special guitars we've had in the store, this comes to us directly from Bill Carson's personal collection! The 50th anniversary Stratocasters were an extremely limited run produced from January 15th until December 31st 2004. This is the very first one ever built, bearing the serial number 1. These guitars were designed to be exact replicas of the original 1954 Stratocaster including nitro-cellulose lacquer, 2-piece Ash body, 1-piece U shaped Maple neck, and pickups hand-wound to the exact specs of the the originals! This one, built by masterbuilder Mark Kendrick, was presented to Bill Carson by Bill Schultz, President of Fender, in appreciation for Carson's contribution to the design of the original Stratocaster. Kept in the family for 20 years, we are fortunate to have it now in our store and available for sale for the very first time! It is in museum-quality condition with all the original paperwork, and includes hand-signed letters and pictures from all parties involved as well as two separate hardshell cases and a digital collection of all the records and photographs of the guitar's internals. A collector's dream as this is the only one of its kind!
