Part of a limited run of Explorers Gibson made in 1976 and 77, this “Bicentennial” model is one of the first Explorers available since the original ’50s Korina models. This is the guitar famously used by U2’s The Edge but can be found on stages everywhere, including with Ricky Meldocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot. The original “T-Top” Gibson Humbuckers sound great with the lightweight mahogany body, and the comfortable ’59 neck profile make this an exceptionally great playing example. These have become very hard to find in recent years. EXC W/HSC $5,700
